Education

Regular external and in-house courses are offered by partners of DDBST and cover both training about applied thermodynamics for process simulation and DDB/DDBSP.

Some of these courses have a long history and are offered by more than 10 or 20 years already. About 500 industrial participants took part in the course "Fundamentals of Selection, Synthesis and Design of Thermal Separation Processes" during the last 10 years and consistently highly recommend it to their colleagues.

GVT Course (German, English)

Grundlagen zur Auswahl, Synthese und Auslegung thermischer Trennprozesse
Fundamentals of Selection, Synthesis and Design of Thermal Separation Processes

This is the main course (3 resp. 4 days) about thermodynamic basics and application offered by Profs. Gmehling and Rarey. It takes place twice a year in English and German language in Oldenburg and at different places worldwide. During the last 10 years about 500 participants from industry and further from academia took part in the course. Following the first 3 days an optional introduction to DDB and DDBSP is offered by Prof. Rarey (DDB/DDBSP Introduction).

DECHEMA Course

Thermodynamische Stoffdaten für die Synthese, Auslegung und Simulation chemischer Prozesse

The DECHEMA® course features nearly two days of thermodynamic basics and application followed by a full day of lectures and workshops dealing with the implementation and use of the different thermodynamic model options in Aspen Plus®. In addition, an introduction to DETHERM® Online and the DECHEMA® Data Regression Package is presented.
